============================================
One of my most courageous and informed friends and an active participants of peace in SouthEast USA sent this along with her personal note:
"Here is what I wrote to my ...friends in Asheville. 'Fr. Louie is the most "saint-like" person I have encountered in my life-time, with the possible exception of Cesar Chavez. He was one of the Prisoners of Conscience in my "class" of SOA line-crossers the year I went to prison. So, we spent time together in processing, during trial preparation, and the following year in prison follow-up. He led a communion service that was the most open, interfaith (there were Jews among us) one I have ever heard a Catholic priest do. Even (a friend) who considers herself a "pagan" and a renegade from the Catholic faith she was brought up in, took communion for the first time in 30 years."
