A Joyous Eid Mubarak & A Festive Eidul Fitr, a Song & a Poem for Peace

In Celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr listen to ZAHIRA's lovely voice and song:
GO here Zahira has just recently composed a song in celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr, titled “Eid Mubarak”, which is available for everyone to listen to, download and share. Lyrics and Translations are also included here

Let's sing the SAME NOTE for peace!

Friends for Peace - all over the world - let's support mercy, truth and compassionate help of all manner for victims of systems gone haywire in our day - as well as for their children and families. There is more of a network for peace than we may each within our own "groupings" as yet be aware. Many "Peace Folk" today are celebrating and commemorating rich traditions and feasts of love, gratitude, family and community and now this will continue throughout the Holy Season for some time

Beginning in my childhood until now my favorite song has been "Let There Be Peace On Earth" and most recently "This is my Song"...now I have a new favorite. Look for more on this - perhaps the tune and the URDU original someday.

Now although this is an older song from Urdu language and culture, I hope it's OK for me to entitle this one (temporarily) which was translated by a friend and teacher - in praise of this day? Feel free to rename the song and send more information about this...or another song for peace. I am just using this name for the song until I learn more. HEAR a richly beautiful source for the music:

And what a comment here read: QATEEL SHIFAEE a big name among the poets he was GENIUS. This song has very MEANINGFUL poetry and sung by THE ONLY LIVING LEGEND mehdi hasan and composed by A HAMEED and filmed on WAHEED THE ONLY HERO OF PAKISTAN.

"THE SAME NOTE"
(A timeless song for peace)

Translation:

People are uniqiue, but aspiration is One and the Same:
We all look different but blood is of the same hue.

The whole universe is created with the essence of Love,
Ask your heart if you do not believe me,
For the tune and melody of all inner voices is the same.

That every soul is to be held in high esteem,
Hearts should be free of hate, and everybody respected,
In this war to attain that respect, we are all on the same side.

Even today I am hearing that song in every city and town,
Which can enchant even this indifferent and cruel world,
Each and every song coming forth is striking the SAME NOTE.

  1. I am mesmerized by this picture of Gaza child with a candle. His one eye mist with pathos, sadness and suffering of present and the other gleaming with the hope and expectation of future, is not just one moment captured by an eye of camera of a specific child, but it is the plight of a people, generation after generation, and a question mark on the humanism of the most talked about times of humanity that we all live in.

  3. You are guessing right but IF you have time would you adapt the translation to the Video poem because he said that he left something out and got something a little mixed up...not serious...and is obviously not able to get back? Also if there is another name then my temporary one?

Thanx! Always so nice to see your comments. I left you one on your's today.
