Press Release: ADC-RI Releases Issue Paper: "The Aftermath of the War on Gaza and the Israeli Elections: Problems and Prospects Facing Palestinian/Israeli Peace"

Washington, D.C. | March 13, 2009 | here or remember adc dot org | Today the ADC-Research Institute (ADC-RI) released Issue Paper 32 "The Aftermath of the War on Gaza and the Israeli Elections: Problems and Prospects Facing Palestinian/Israeli Peace". This issue paper is part of a number of issue papers on topical issues published by ADC-RI. Issue Paper 32 discusses the 22-day war on Gaza and its effect on the political situation, as well as the continuing expansion of the Israeli settlements throughout the course of the peace process. The paper also discusses the problems leadership on both the Palestinian and Israeli side pose to a viable peace process.

This paper is intended as educational tool and resource to provide an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. The recommendations call for positive U.S. involvement in unifying the Palestinians, supporting reconstruction in Gaza, and holding all sides accountable for fulfilling their end of agreements.
