Universal Human Rights Program in WNC Monday March 2/New & Recommended Books

On Monday, March 2, Dr. Mark Gibney, Belk Distinguished Professor in the Humanities, at UNCA will give a Great Decisions program on “Universal Human Rights?” in UNCA’s Owen Conference Center at 7:30 with refreshments at 7:00. The program is free to paid-up members of the World Affairs Council and $8 for non-members. Dr. Gibney has recently published a book on the topic of human rights, International Human Rights Law: Returning to Universal Principles (Rowman and Littlefield, 2008). He will be available at 7:00 in the foyer of the Owen Conference Center to talk about, sell, and autograph copies of his book.

Dr. Gerard Voos recommended the following books on the subject of the Global Food Supply Crisis:
