I am not the only person in this city who swore to uphold the constitution...
SECOND SET OF ISSUES
Our democracy DEPENDS on transparency...on the other hand ... lives are at stake...
(on releasing or not releasing certain documents...) i released these memos because there was no longer any reason to (protect/withold) them...)
on other hands, the set which i witheld ... nothing's been concealed to absolve any perpetrators of crime...(mentioned that there were factors which prevented these for the sake of safety) i had to strike the right balance between transparency and security...
(previous practices have led to a desire for more transparency) ... a Thirst for Transparence...
(need) to protect sources and methods...i will insist there is oversight of my actions...
